Odds formats

Online bookmakers support automatic recalculation of the odds, so if they are inconvenient for your format you can easily replace them with one mouse click.

Coefficient, which involved a sport event, can be given in different formats depending on the geographic location of an online bookmaker. The main formats are: European or Decimal, Fractional and British or American, as well as Indian and Chinese.

1 European (decimal) odds: They are in a decimal point format and the return of the bet is calculated by multiplying the amount of your bet with the odds. For example, we bet $ 100 at odds 1.15 and at successful stake we are able to pick up $ 115, of which $15 can be considered as pure profit.

2 British (fractional) odds: They are presented in the form of fractions and the profit is calculated by multiplying the stake by the odds. For example $100 bet at odds 3/5. If the bet is successful we make 100X3/5=60 profit. The main difference between European and British rates is that when you first multiply the bet at the odds you get the return and when you multiply the second, you get the profit.

3. American odds – They are divided into positive and negative ratios as well as British indicate a possible profit. Coefficients with negative sign correspond to the decimal odds between 1 and 2, so the profit is less than 100% of the stake.

Profit=Bet.100/ Coefficients

Coefficient with positive sign correspond to the decimal odds >2  and the profit is more than 100% of the size of the stake.

Profit=Bet.Coefficient/100
